Results
The C-OIL project has provided the following specific results:
- New knowledge in the application and sensitivity analysis of different Artificial Intelligence techniques (Analogues, Adaboost, RNN-LSTM) for the simulation of high resolution currents at coastal and local scale.
- New advances in the optimization of Lagrangian spill simulation models to improve concentration prediction and definition of toxicity thresholds.
- Development of a downscaling methodology downscaling based hydrodynamic downscaling methodology for the prediction of currents at coastal and local scales (ports, bays and estuaries).
- Based on previous results, development of a methodology for the simulation of oil spill evolution based on hybrid AI and numerical modeling techniques.
