Tasks

In order to achieve the proposed objectives, the following scheme of work is proposed:

• Task 1. Identify the main ocean-meteorological variables to characterize coastal hydrodynamics.
• Task 2. Research and develop hybrid downscaling techniques for simulation and historical reconstruction (hindcast) of coastal currents.
• Task 3. Investigate the application of classification and machine learning techniques to optimize oil spill hazard analysis on the coast.
• Task 4. Development of a methodological framework based on artificial intelligence to assess oil spill hazard at coastal and local scales.
• Task 5. Validation through field exercises and application in the Bay of Biscay.
• Task 6. Transfer and dissemination of results.
